Air Tightness – this test measures the volume of air that could pass though a closed window at an air pressure differential that represents wind speeds of 40 kilometers per hour (25mph).  Performance is indicated by a number rating from A1 to A3.

Water Tightness – this test involves applying a uniform water spray at increasing air pressure (to simulate wind-driven rain) until water penetrates the window system.  Performance is indicated by a number rating from B1 to B7.

Wind-Load Resistance – this test is a measure of the products structural strength and is tested by applying increasing levels of air pressure to simulate wind force.  Air pressure is applied until the products operation is impaired. Performance is indicated by a number rating from C1 to C5.

Forced-Entry Resistance – this test is to indicate how well the product may resist entry within five minutes. One of two ratings may be assigned by a rating number of F1 or F2. For windows, F1 indicates that the product has a lock, while F2 indicates that the product with a lock passes hand and tool manipulation tests.

INSULTAED GLASS UNIT
Note: All comparisons are based on windows containing 3/4" insulating units, two 1/8" (3mm) glass lights
and a 1/2" (12mm) air filled space for the standard clear insulating glass.  Argon gas filled space for the
         Solarban 60 insulating glass.
